You don't use Flash? O_o

Now I do, but usually for Jim cartoons I'll still use Koolmoves, because it just fits the style better.

Just cause a character isn't "realistic" dosen't mean it's not good. I mean really, just look my characters! I like to focus mostly on humor and story rather than art. Also look at Johnny Magic a circle and a square made front page EVERY single time!
I prefer an Egoraptor "crappy on purpose" flash to an artistic masterpiece with no humor. So don't worry, and just keep on animating the way you like to!

"Just cause a character isn't "realistic" doesn't mean it's not good." I totally 110% agree with that, it's very true on so many levels. I also agree with what Egoraptor said, I mean, the Awesome movies definitely wouldn't be as awesome if they weren't a kind of sketchy cartoony style, in fact that's one of the things that makes them so funny.

A character doesn't have to look anything like a real person to be awesome. If you think about it, Charlie Brown barely looks anything like a kid. His hair is a scribble, his big head is almost perfectly round, and his legs are perfectly straight. Everyone still likes him =)

I do wish that more of your characters had pants though.

XD Pants are overrated. Soon though, we will live in a world without these abominations.

Everyone loves simple characters. Weeble and Bob for eggsample. They are just tilting eggs, but everyone loves them.

Oooooh that was quite a pun.

characters are characters however you intend them to be. it does not matter how unrealistic they are. remember, this isnt youtube :P

newgrounds loves imaginativeness in its portal. just look at the stamper's and tom's work. thier characters barely look artistic, and none of them look real at all. but they get their fame out of making thier characters memorable and funny.

just create whatever.

people will take hold of it :)

Thanks, I appreciate the words of wisom. :)

lol, have there really been a lot of people bashing Jim, I never really thought of him being to simple, I think he's fine just the way he is...

Yeah, crazy how people will push so much for change, without realizing that perfection is right in front of them.

Sometimes plain and simple is just better :) Obviously. Especially for shorts or just quick little comedic things. Its what makes them cute and enjoyable. Like a cookie! :D
Cookies are small, simple, but rock the socks of the world. ^_^ I'm going to stop while I'm ahead. I'm waiting for Jim to be up for download so I can put him on my ipod :P

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

(Also that's not a bad idea with the iPod thing...)
